fine wine and the company of dogs. Between the months of October and June, Cappuccino’s Fine Wine & Espresso Bar hosts a Happy Yappy Wine Tasting to benefit various Tampa Bay area animal welfare and rescue groups. In April, the Friday evening event raised much-needed funds for For Paws Hospice and their Red Flyer program. The program accepts used wheelchairs, refurbishes them and loans them out at no charge to families of handicapped pets in need. To date, more than 129 wheelchairs have been loaned to special needs pets since 2012. For more information and to donate, call 727.639.9285. woof, woof, woof for the home team. The Dunedin Blue Jays held its annual Bark in the Park on April 12th. Fans brought their four-legged friends out to Florida Auto Exchange Stadium for a day filled with baseball. The Dunedin Blue Jays and The New Barker partnered to help raise money for Dunedin Doggie Rescue. The Dunedin Blue Jays also held a new promotion this year for Dunedin Doggie Rescue to assist them in collecting items to benefit their res- cues. Fans brought dog toys, gift cards, dog beds and dog leashes which are items that are in high demand for the non- profit. The first 250 fans received a Blue Jay dog bowl which was sponsored by The Brown Boxer. Rover reporting and photo- graph by Heather Schulman.
