the upcoming entertainment or other events. There is a really impressive lineup of entertainers and there’s something going on at least four times a week. Irene’s is also on Facebook
and Twitter. You can sign up for their newsletter to get the latest live music listing upcoming events, but, as they say on their Facebook page, what’s even better than following them on social media is: “the old proven way of visiting us in person so we can talk about old or new memories and share a smile.” As for the beverage
department, they have a lot to offer by way of locally brewed craft ales such as Beau’s Lugtread, Ashton Brewing Company, Kichesippi 1855 and seasonal offerings, plus the national and international favourites like Creemore, Guinness, Moosehead and Canadian. Irene’s is always stocked with
an impressive selection of single malt whiskies and some of their fans say they make the best caesar in town. You can order Highland Park, Glenlivet, Talisker, Glenmorangie or Tullamore Dew or even one of the variety of guest malts. Alternatively, should you
prefer blends, Johnny Walker or The Famous Grouse, or an Irish whiskey, such as Jameson or Bushmills, is available too. Apparently they are known
as “the pub with some of the best brewed coffee in Canada” for your DD to enjoy or just to have with a tasty meal. By the way, bus service is
pretty good, too, if you don’t want to drive or pay for cabs. And, last but not least, it is a
nice pub, with nice people, who will see that you have a good time. Pop in and have a pint and a bite to eat. You won’t be disappointed. It’s in The Glebe at 885 Bank Street.
