How Do We Get There? Entrance to the program is through an ap-

plication process which helps the staffs of the Inclusion centers determine the best match for a special needs child in the program. The fol- lowing steps apply: • Referral from the Regional Center of Or- ange County

• Self Referral or Child Care referral (private pay option)

• A complete behavioral assessment • Placement in After School Care in Orange County

• Continued supervision and onsite support

What Do We Do? The goal of YMCA Inclusion is to help

special needs children participate in all the ac- tivities offered in their typical children’s daycare or after school programs. Social interaction, games, moving to music, art, puzzles, outdoor play are all activities that children enjoy. Trained facilitators are there, not to hover, but to help special needs children get the most out of these activities that they can by giving them the tools and helping them develop the confi- dence they need to succeed.

Are Scholarships Available? As with all YMCA programs, some schol-

arships are available based on need. These Scholarships come from generous donors in the

community who believe that all children have the right to a healthy, happy, accepting and safe environment.

Where are the YMCA sites

in San Clemente? Did you know that there are six YMCA
