Cirencester Scene Magazine - Establishing Local Connections Hands on Treatment at Anamai Beauty

I am feeling relaxed and glowing and it’s all down to an hour long Monu collagen facial with the lovely Lindsey Ashby at Anamai Beauty Salon in South Cerney.

Anamai Beauty and Wetcutz Unisex Hair are sister salons owned and run by Tracy Stevens. Having seen their classy ads in the Cirencester Scene each month, we decided it was time to try themout for ourselves.

I chose the last

appointment of the day and was welcomed with a smile as Lindsey hung up my coat and scarf and gently but

efficiently

directed me to lie down on the treatment bed. Despite the chilly wet weather outside, I was warm and snug stretched out on a heated pad under a cosy blanket, leaving just my face and neck exposed and ready for action.

over my face and neck we chatted about this and that until she fitted the collagen mask onto my face and neck and skilfully pasted it into position with warm water. No more chat from me now! I gradually drifted into total relaxation as Lindsey gave me a head massage while the collagenmask worked itsmagic.

Lindsey from Swindon, was inspired by her aunt to become a beautician. She started practicing make-up and beauty treatments as a child! She trained at North Star College, and has since done a lot of further training privately. She works from Anamai five days a week, and Debbie Jackson, whose skills in clude

threading, works one or two day s a week there.

As I settled down, I gradually became aware of the ambient nature music playing quietly in the background, which, combined with the heat from the pad made me feel I was sunbathing lazily by a gentle sea. Using a range of Monu products throughout the treatment, Lindsey carefully mopped up my face, cleansing it of all traces of makeup and the ingrained dirt of everyday living. As her fingers fluttered gently

I don’t know how much time passed before Lindsey started dismantling the mask and applying hot flannels to my face. Glorious. Somehow, it seemed the hour was nearly up. She finished off with a Monu moisturiser and instructed me that to get the best lasting results, I was to relax for the evening and drink plenty of water to keepmyself hydrated. And no alcohol tonight please.

Now here’s the science! The Monu Collagen Facial focuses on hydrating and replenishing vital moisture levels in your skin to rediscover
