NEW—Baby Yoga Classes

The Body Workshop Baby focuses on helping new parents and their babies get the best possible start in life. Mums already benefit from Antenatal and Postnatal Pilates classes as well as learning Baby Massage. In the coming weeks they’ll be able to do Baby Yoga in fun and interactive classes with their babies, which is a great way to bond with each other on a physical and emotional level. You don’t need to have any experience of Yoga and you are not expected to twist your baby into funny positions or do anything that doesn’t feel comfortable.

Baby Yoga has many benefits for both parent and baby. Classes can de-stress, calmand relax everyone, aid coordination, muscle strength, tone and flexibility, improve sleep and help ease wind and colic for baby.

A Baby Yoga class consists of: •A Baby Massage warmup over clothes

•Postures and sequences that can be as simple as bringing your babies arms over their head or bending the knee and placing the foot to the opposite leg to create a mini tree posture. You move your baby’s limbs in different ways to encourage muscle and motor development (as they get older they can copy your actions). The moves can encourage rolling, crawling and clapping. Songs and props are

combined with certain moves and sequences to stimulate babies’ senses.

•Standing up rocking and holding •Relaxation for parents and babies ends the class.

Classes are suitable for babies from 2 to 10 months with Mums or Dads.
