On the cover...

Mark Cox Decorating A run down forgotten Church in Brixham has been transformed into a very special family home and the the striking paintwork was carried out by PDA member, Mark Cox. The job took around eight weeks to complete and involved using scaffolding to work at the height of the vaulted ceilings. Vinyl matt emulsion was used as the base covering and then specialist brands were employed for the unique stencilling and gold leafing. These eye catching pictures of the work show the beautiful intricate patterns Mark has created. The whole project was a feature on Channel 4 Restoration Man.

Well done to Mark for the front cover image, who will also receive £100 of vouchers from Brewers.

Please do keep sending in your pictures - close ups of intricate paint work, decorative features or wide shots of larger projects. Just remember that for use in the magazine we need high resolution, clear images.

 The work on this kitchen dresser required lots of remedial preparation before the application of the final brushwork to give lovely clean finish.
