JANUARY 2014 SEES the introduction of a yet another great benefit for PDA Members. An online retailer of office and business

products, Angel Office Supplies can be found at www.angeloffice.co.uk – They offer a wide range of quality branded products including office supplies, safety and protective equipment, ink cartridges and just about everything else a growing business could need. Founded recently, but managed by a parent

company with a strong track record in customer service, Angel has core values which complement those of the Painting and Decorating Association. This deal represented a good opportunity to add to our ever increasing list of exclusive member benefits. The Association has negotiated a special arrangement and members will receive heavily

discounted contract pricing on the products they order most regularly, a method designed to tailor the benefit to your needs. Members will also be given the opportunity

to apply for a credit account and provided with a dedicated account manager to ensure a high level of service at all times. Next day courier delivery is offered as standard and is free for orders over £50.

NEW NSCC AND BARCLAYCARD PARTNERSHIP

NSCC HAS LAUNCHED a new partnership with Barclaycard designed to support Specialist Contractors to grow and manage their cashflow. Barclaycard is part of Barclays Bank PLC and its business payment solutions are an excellent way

of helping PDA members to realise their business potential. With preferential rates on debit and credit card transactions, PDA members will be able to accept card payments from their clients meaning no more banking of cheques and the transfer of funds within 3 days. The process can be set up quickly and easily in five days with no joining fee (normally £150) and Barclaycard offers both offline and online solutions for receiving payments. Barclaycard also supports the use of business credit cards and PDA members can receive up to 56 days’

interest-free credit and 0% interest for three months on purchases. Being able to accept and make payments by card gives businesses the opportunity to speed up the time it takes to receive money for work undertaken as well as maintain their credit rating with suppliers by paying promptly for materials. The NSCC Fair Payment Campaign is designed to improve payment practices in the construction

industry and, by working with Barclaycard, NSCC is able to offer its members an alternative service that can directly benefit their businesses. Further information on the business payment solutions available from Barclaycard through its partnership with NSCC can be found at www.barclaycard.co.uk/business/nscc – PDA members interested in signing up or switching to Barclaycard should call 0844 249 9877.
