MAB Conference 2014 Awards


The main event of the daytime was hosted by Andy Frankish and Gareth Herbert, and featured a record 20 awards recognising advisers, lenders and businesses.


Amongst the winners was Monica Bradley, who, as well as being our top performing national adviser, picked up the Top Adviser - South Region award; and Halifax for Intermediaries, who picked up three lender awards.

In contrast to the day event, the after-party boasted a 1920’s circus theme complete with fair stalls, flapper dancers and a bongo-playing DJ.


Hosted across the road from Curve at Athena, over 500 partygoers had access to a free bar all night and could spend their time playing hook-a-duck on one of the stalls, eating the freshly-cooked hog roast or, for the more sweet-toothed of people, filling up from the candyfloss machine.


DJ Lyndsay was on the decks - and bongos - and managed to play music from eras to suit everyone, from Kenny Loggins’ Footloose to Beyonce’s Single Ladies. Accompanied by 12 female dancers, the performance grabbed the attention of everyone, and even led to a few joining in!


Feedback for the Conference this year has been excellent, and whilst MAB will strive to improve upon it for next year, the 2014 Conference was the first at our new venue and will certainly be one to remember!
