elcome to the 2nd edition of Your MAB. Even though you can keep up to date with everything that is going on at MAB on MAB Online; we have decided that a magazine is a nice way to vary communication
and feature new initiatives, top performers and interviews.
2014 has gotten off to an amazing start, and I am sure that it will be a year where records will be smashed by many of you on every level. At MAB, we have never been busier. We are making sure that you have the tools and support as advisers and business owners, to deliver an outstanding customer experience and maximise the opportunities a market like this brings your way.
We also have one eye firmly on the future which I hope you saw at our Conference - and I don’t just mean just robots! The world is changing fast and so is most of the market today; we have to build businesses of the future, which in many ways is already upon us.
In this edition of Your MAB, we launch new initiatives such as MAB Wealth and our new conveyancing panel, and we also interview Dave Bedlow, head of Learning and Development; Ian Giles, our new brand and marketing director; and Jo Culley and Rob Brookes from DB Roberts, who scooped two awards at the Conference last month.
Thank you for supporting our Conference so well this year, with over 700 of you making it to Leicester in the busiest January in MAB’s history. If you couldn’t make it or want a reminder of the key messages of the day, then check out all of the presentations on MAB Online.
The most important part of the day was to acknowledge our top performing advisers, businesses and lenders and in this edition of Your MAB, we have a supplement dedicated to the winners and those that did so well to be shortlisted.
Last but not least, you will find on page 13 details of my ridiculous charity bike ride to Paris in July. Considering I have never done any sport or exercise in 51 years, the challenge is immense and potentially life- threatening! I have never asked for sponsorship before and I never will again, so I hope you will help me raise the massive £20k target I have set myself for a fantastic cause!
