London to Paris cycle ride 25th - 27th July 2014

hat happens when an avid Fulham fan replaces football for foot pedals, alcohol for energy drinks and an office for the open air?
CEO Peter Brodnicki is planning to find out when he takes part in a bike ride from London to Paris to help raise funds and awareness for the recently created charity, Alex’s Wish.
The ride will take place from 25th-27th July 2014, around the same time as the Tour de France (undoubtedly so Peter can pick up some tips from the world’s best), and he will be joined by MAB eCommerce director Donna Brenchley and his PA, Rachel Noon.
Knowing that he will have to participate in and maintain a gruelling training schedule in order to complete the challenge, Peter allowed us to have a sneak preview of his upcoming fitness regime for the next six weeks.
Despite having his punishing schedule in place and his target set, he has admitted that beating his previous time of travelling to Paris in just over two hours will be hard to beat.
Especially as there aren’t any planes involved this time...
Peter faces being the underdog of the three, as both Donna and Rachel completed the ‘Way of the Roses’ challenge last year – a gruelling three day, 170 mile journey from Morecambe to Bridlington.
Alex’s Wish was created in 2012 by ex-MAB marketing director Emma Hallam, and was organised to raise funds for research helping children with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. To date, they have raised over £60,000 and are well on their way to reaching their £100,000 per annum target.
Donations can still be made and are very much appreciated. The target is set at £20,000, and every penny raised goes directly to the world’s best researchers who are looking for a cure and more effective treatment methods!
