nounced that Wendi Sturgis, a corporate executive with 20 years experience in technology, media and the Internet, was appointed to the school bus contrac- tor’s Board of Directors effective Dec. 2. Sturgis is the executive VP of sales and services at Yext and a former VP at Yahoo. Zonar Systems promoted Fred Fak-


kema to VP of compliance andTony Bezilla to VP of product management. Fakkema joined Zonar in 2010 after a 25-year career with the Washington State Patrol. Bezilla has a 20-year career in information technology, most recently as VP of global IT delivery for FirstGroup North America.  American Cooling Technology


(ACT) promoted Dave Oberdorff to the position of president and CEO. Ober- dorff has been the general manager of ACT since starting with the company in 2011.  Stertil-Koni named Keith Bunn sales manager of the Western region in November. With First Student since 1996, Hansen was previously the senior location manager for its Portland, Ore., facility.  Don Ross was promoted to the position of general manager within LBS South, LLC, after joining the company last April. Prior to this, Ross worked with the School Board of Manatee County for more than 13 years, where he served in several high-level positions. Jim Folkes was recently named chief


operating officer for Krapf School Bus, a division of Krapf Bus Companies. Folkes joined Krapf in 2010 and most recently served as vice president. He has more than 20 years of experience in the school transportation industry. Also, Shawn McGlinchey was promoted to VP of risk management at Krapf, which he joined in 2010, bringing with him 23 years of experience in the safety/risk management arena.
