BOCM PAULS SCOOPS FEED MERCHANT OF THE YEAR AT
CREAM AWARDS BOCM PAULS is delighted to have been named the “National Feed Merchant of the Year” at the inaugural Cream Awards, run by Grove House Publishing and held recently at a gala event at The National Motorcycle Museum, Birmingham. The Cream Awards are designed to show-case the best of the UK dairy industry – from farmer, through the supply trade to processors – and to highlight the Proud of Dairy ethos. This was launched by Dairy UK to act as a positive voice about all that is good about the industry – be it from the on-farm diversity, skill and dedication of primary producers to the great tasting, nutritional products that result from the milk they produce. Over the last five years BOCM PAULS
has grown and diversified from being primarily a supplier of compound feed to one which supplies livestock nutrition in whatever form the farmer wants to buy it – including straights, blends and co-products. The company now supplies over one million tonnes of feed to the dairy industry from seven feed mills, seven blend plants and a number of sources of co-products from the human food and drink industries. “We pride ourselves on being able to
supply whatever a livestock farmer requires to most cost-effectively feed their animals,” says Nick Major, Sales and Marketing Director for the company. “In addition we have invested heavily in new dairy feeding technologies such as Visiolac and introduced revolutionary raw materials like Lintec that can be used to influence saturated fat levels in milk and reduce methane emissions. This award recognises our investment in our business to further improve the profitability of our customers, and to improve the quality of the milk and dairy products that are produced.” The award was collected by the
company’s Business Manager Peter Cade who supports dairy farms across the South, and was presented by category sponsor Trident Feeds. Peter was chosen to receive the accolade because it was one of his long- standing customers who nominated BOCM PAULS for the award.
