Hi Everyone,
As Gemma said, the countdown to Christmas is well and truly underway and we’re all looking forward to panto. This year it’s Sleeping Beauty, and all the young and adult cast have been working incredibly hard to put on an amazing show… as they always do! So if you’ve never been to one, now is the time.
Our Youth clubs fi nish up w/c 16th December and during this week we’ll be spreading some festive excitement with our Christmas parties. Don’t worry if you’ve not been along to a youth club before, you’re still more than welcome to join our Christmas events, we’re always happy to see new faces at the Centre. Youth clubs will then start again w/c 13th January 2014.
Just another little note…. As some of you will already be aware I’m expecting a baby and will be leaving my post at the Centre for a few months to have my little baby boy. It’s been an absolute pleasure to get to know you all and I’ll miss you all, but I’ll come along for a wee visit once he’s here so you can all meet him.
I’ll be back soon but while I’m away there will be a great new youth worker who I’m sure you’ll really like. I’d love to see as many youthies before I leave and for you all to meet my replacement, so the new Youth Worker will be coming along to all the youth clubs before they fi nish up for Christmas.
Anyway guys, I hope you all have a fantastic Christmas and New Year and I’ll see you all later in 2014. Enjoy your new youth worker and remember if you’re all as great for them as you are for me, then they’ll love their job just as much as I do! Jeannie x
What an honour to be the Centre’s
Youth Worker while Jeannie is on maternity leave!
My journey started with the Centre back in 2005 when I joined as a young volunteer, coming in two days a week supporting the Centre in anyway I could. Fast forward three years and I was given my fi rst job when I turned 16, and have been a member of staff ever since. During my time in the post I hope to build upon the relationships that the Dunblane Centre already holds
with the young people of the community, and work together with them to further develop long term projects.
Please feel free to come down to the Centre for a chat any time - I’ll be there from the start of December. Also, please join me in wishing Jeannie an enjoyable maternity leave. All the best! Andy (McBroom!)
