Christmas is defi nitely a time for Family and Friends and this recipe books refl ects this in so many ways. Not only has it got a fantastic range of recipes it has been lovingly put together and it is beautifully laid out. In fact, if you are like me and have lots of cookery books which you enjoy looking at - this would be a great addition!

If that wasn’t reason enough to buy it, the explanation behind the book and Barbara’s amazing story is compelling.

When I met her, she didn’t tell me all the details but like so many other cancer suff erers Barbara fought for her life and is an incredibly brave lady. On her continued journey of recovery Barbara has produced this book to give thanks to all those family and friends who loved and supported her and gave her strength through her most diffi cult hours.

The book refl ects special memories of meals spent together over the years with family and friends. Barbara’s life has introduced her to many cuisines and traditions. Mrs. Smith’s Clootie Dumpling (opposite) has now become one of Barbara’s Christmas traditions too! Barbara feels strongly about the importance of giving back and believes that one day cancer will be beaten so help join her in raising as much money as possible for Cancer Research UK & Ovarian Cancer Action.

All the profi ts of the book are going to Cancer Research UK and Ovarian Cancer Action and it is priced at just £15.

The recipe book can be bought from Charisma Gift Shop on the High Street in Dunblane or from Barbara herself by calling 01786 822 459.
