Dentist’s Jungfrau Run For Timmy News and Training Diary
Local Dentist Andrew Walker is running the Jungfrau Marathon in September and is hoping to raise £5000 for MIND Association and a local Charity Timmy’s Trust.
Timmy’s Trust
Timmy’s Trust was set up in January 2012 by Kate and Tim Mason following the death of their son Timmy from cancer after a four year illness. It’s main aim is to buy a retreat home in this area for terminal children who wish to die in a non-hospice / medical environment.
For full details go to www.timmy’s
trust.org, or call Kate on 07450 178 340 or write to her at

Training
The hot weather has added another dimension to my training. Restricted to early morning/late evening runs. Doing about 50km a week (1 x 20k and 2 x 15k runs). Yet to get really serious up hills yet. Too hot.
I took part in Mudrunner Oblivion at the end of so Support fromChipping Manor
Chipping Manor is being very supportive. I decided to give 5% of my private earnings to the charities for 4 months leading up to the race. Phil Lochnane, practice owner is matching this sum for the
same period.
A raffle is underway at the practice - some great donated prizes from the local businesses of Cirencester. A cake sale is also in the planning.
