The schools in Duval County strive to provide the best


possible education for their students. Eighty-two percent of Duval County schools have received A, B, or C grades. Duval County’s public schools serve approximately 125,000 students at 104 elementary, two K-8, 24 middle, two middle-senior and 19 high schools. There are also three exceptional student centers, seven alternative schools, one virtual academy and several charter schools. The school district is divided into four clusters to effectively manage the 183 schools in the district.
