Edward Waters College (EWC) participates in


intercollegiate sports with membership in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics’ Gulf Coast Athletic Conference. The college offers both men’s and women’s basketball, golf, cross country, and track and field. The Tigers also have football, baseball, volleyball, cheerleading and softball.

This annual event showcases one of college football’s


biggest rivalries—the Florida Gators and Georgia Bulldogs. The name alternates each year depending on which team is designated as the home team. Fans enjoy camping in the famed RV City early in the week. Activities and events throughout the city lead up to the big game.

This annual college football game has been a tradition in


Northeast Florida for more than 65 years. The Gator Bowl is one of the oldest college football bowl games and was the first to be nationally televised.

The Jacksonville Axemen are a part of the USA Rugby


League, which consists of seven other regional teams. Home games are played at Hodges Stadium located on University of North Florida campus.
