Atlantic Coast Triathlon

This annual half iron distance triathlon is held at Main


Beach Park in Fernandina Beach. The event is limited to 800 triathletes and also features relay teams. The triathlon course consists of a 1.2-mile swim, a 56-mile bike ride through Amelia Island and a 13.1-mile run through Fort Clinch. There are bottle exchange stations every 10 miles on the bike course and a water station every mile on the run course.

Just north of Hilliard, the North Florida Motocross Park


(NFMX) has three motorsport tracks available for practice and competition. The park is open for practice five days a week. The three tracks include a one-mile sand track, a one-mile clay track and a peewee track for the younger riders.

Held since 1986, the Beaches Fine Arts Sprint Triathlon


Series consists of a .25-mile ocean swim, a 13-mile bike race and a 3-mile run. The triathlon series helps raise money for the free performances, art exhibits and educational outreach programs that are offered through the Beaches Fine Arts Series.
