Another highlight of the 2013 schedule is the series’ return, for the first time since 2010, to Montreal’s Autodrome St-Eustache. The flat, 4/10-mile oval will host the Canadian Tire Series on July 27. Another change will see the series make its

annual trek to Nova Scotia’s Riverside Interna- tional Speedway in mid-August (Aug. 17), in- stead of its traditional mid-September date. The lone Maritime date for the series follows the August 11 race at the Grand Prix de Trois-Riv- ières. This year’s GP3R is expected to draw sev- eral high-profile Quebec stars, including two-time NASCAR champion Andrew Ranger and F1 and IndyCar champ Jacques Villeneuve. The series’ annual swing through western

Canada includes stops at Vernon, BC’s Mo- toplex Speedway and Saskatoon, Saskatchewan’s Auto Clearing Motor Speedway, on July 13 and July 17, re- spectively.

The Canadian Tire Series will visit the challenging 2.113-mile airport road course at Mirabel, Quebec’s Circuit ICAR on July 7.

Exciting short track races at Delaware (ON) Speedway on June 15, the Speedway at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park on June 22 and a September 7 date at Barrie (ON) Speedway highlight the schedule, as well.

The season will draw to its traditional close at Kawartha Speedway. The Peter- borough, Ontario oval will play host to the season finale on September 21. It will be there, in all likelihood, that the champion will be determined and crowned. Fans who attend races in person are in for a unique racing experience that goes beyond the on-track action. They can get signed ‘hero cards’ from their favourite racers during the pre-race driver autograph sessions. Fans

can also take part in a tire-change pit stop challenge at the Canadian Tire Fun Zone, and purchase official clothing and souvenirs at the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series Midway hauler. And for those races that are too far away to attend in person, fans can still follow all the action, from their living rooms, on TSN. The 2013 NASCAR Canadian Tire Series Presented by Mobil 1 is underway and we hope you take the opportunity to cheer on Canada’s top racers and teams as they com- pete for Canadian stock car supremacy. On behalf of everyone associated with the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series Presented by Mobil 1, we hope you and your family enjoy your day at the track and we thank you for your support of Canada’s national stock car championship and the many racers, teams, sponsors and partners who make it possible.

based on his performance last year, DJ Kennington will be the driver to beat in 2013.
