dRiveR BioS #56 Howie Scannell Jr.

HOMETOWN: Milton, Ontario BIRTHDATE: January 13, 1966

SPONSORS/MAKE: Trailers by Jim Bray / IGPC Ethanol / K&B / Stratafax / Castrol – Dodge

NOTABLE: This long time veteran of the Ontario short track scene ran seven races in 2012, and unfortunately was not able

to break into the top ten in race results. He hopes to remedy that problem this year as he will have a new McColl-built car at his disposal, a ride he will share on occasion with teammate Larry Jackson.

QUOTABLE: “I’m likely only going to do the road races, plus maybe one oval race. With Larry and I sharing the car, we’ll be gunning for the Owner’s Championship for Jim (Bray) this year.” Richard Coburn

#60 Ron Beauchamp Jr.

HOMETOWN: Windsor, Ontario BIRTHDATE: August 7, 1968

SPONSORS/MAKE: MOPAR / Express- lane / Pennzoil / Magneti Marelli / Exide / APX / Cathcart Trucking – Dodge

NOTABLE: Beauchamp ran his #60 Dodge to a Top Five overall result in

2012, scoring one pole position (Motoplex Speedway) and eight top ten finishes. For this season, Beauchamp will have a pair of new mounts available, having completed in-house, a road course car and purchasing a new McColl oval chassis.

Richard Coburn

QUOTABLE: “Top five was good for 2012, but we’re looking for more this year. As long as we come out of the box strong with these two new cars, that should put us in good shape for the full year. The schedule this year has more ovals than road courses, which tends to give us a little advantage.

#66 Robin Buck

HOMETOWN: Campbellville, Ontario BIRTHDATE: December 10, 1959

SPONSORS/MAKE: Quaker State – Dodge

NOTABLE: A road course ‘ringer,’ Buck continues to show the way when the series attacks the ‘twisty ones.’ In 2012, in just five appearances, he

recorded three top ten and a pair of top five finishes, includ- ing a season-best podium finish (third) in Montreal.

QUOTABLE: “While we might do Montreal this year, our main focus is on the Mosport (Canadian Tire Motorsport Park) races. This is my track, in my backyard and this old car has run so many laps here, she doesn’t even need me telling her where to go.”
