NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF AN ORDER Highways Act 1980 CARMARTHENSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2006
On the 13th May 2013 Carmarthenshire County Council confirmed the above Order made under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980.
The effect of the Order as confirmed is to divert public footpaths 12/39, 12/43, 1`2/47, 12/48, 12/52, 12/65, 12/66, 12/67, 12/113, 12/122, 12/134 as shown on the order map.
A copy of the Order as confirmed and the order map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at the Countryside Recreation Unit, Mynydd Mawr Woodland Park, Heol Hirwaun Olau, Tumble, Llanelli, from 9.00 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. on any weekday. Copies of the Order and map may be bought there at a price of 50p. Postal copies may also be obtained at a price of £5.00.
The Order comes into force on the 24th June 2013, but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the grounds that any requirements of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under Paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by Paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 of the Act, within 6 weeks from 24th June 2013, make an application to the High Court.

The above Order, made on the 03rd of May 2013, under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980, will divert the public footpath through Llysonnen, Drefach Felindre as shown on the Order map.
A copy of the Order and the order map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at the Countryside Recreation Unit, Mynydd Mawr Woodland Park, Tumble, Llanelli, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on any weekday. Copies of the Order and map may be bought there at a price of £5.00.
Any representations about or objections to the Order may be sent in writing to Mr Ian Jones, Head of Leisure and Sport, Regeneration & Leisure Department, Countryside Recreation Unit, Mynydd Mawr Woodland Park, Tumble, Llanelli. SA14 6HU, quoting the above reference, not later than the 24th of June 2013. Please state the grounds on which they are made.
If no representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Carmarthenshire County Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Welsh Government for confirmation, any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.

On the 18th April 2013 Carmarthenshire County Council entered into a Creation Agreement with the National Trust, Kemble Drive Swindon, under Section 25 of the Highways Act 1980.
The effect of the Creation Agreement is to create a public bridleway over land between Pont Pumsaint and Allt Bwlch y Gilwen in the County of Carmarthenshire.
A copy of the Creation Agreement and Deed of Dedication and the order map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at the Countryside Recreation Unit, Mynydd Mawr Woodland Park, Tumble, Llanelli, from 9.00 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. on any weekday.

2. For safety reasons, essential work has been carried out to temporarily make safe memorial headstones on graves at Llanelli District Cemetery. Before determining the next course of action, contact needs to be established with the owner(s) concerned. Any person(s) claiming to be the owner(s) of the right over the grave or who claim to be the relative(s) of the said owner(s) should contact the Burial Authority by no later than June 30th 2013.
3. If no claim over the grave is received by the above date, the Burial Authority, in accordance with the provisions of the Local Authorities’cemeteries Order 1977, shall dismantle the said memorial either fully or partially and lay flat on the grave.
4. Under the provision of the Local Authorities’Cemeteries Order 1977, upon expiry of the Exclusive Rights of Burial for a grave, the Burial Authority reserves the right to remove any memorial that does not comply with Burial Authority regulations (copies of the regulations may be obtained from the cemetery office).
5. The Burial Authority will take this action unless the respective owners of the right to place and maintain the memorials in the cemetery have, before the date specified in paragraph 2 above, being the date before which the carrying out of the proposals will not be commenced, confirm that their memorials will be professionally repaired to BS8415 as soon as possible.
6. Anybody knowing the whereabouts of the families or relatives concerned should contact the undersigned at the cemetery office with the information either by telephoning (01554) 773710 between the hours of 9.00 am and 3.30 pm Monday to Friday, or by writing to Llanelli District Cemetery, Swansea Road, Llanelli, SA15 3EX.
