Hamilton Park Farmers’ Market – Wed, May 8 thru Dec. 3-7pm. It’s a celebration in the park, but you can get locally grown fruits, veggies, breads, cupcakes, prepared fresh and frozen food, banana ice cream, pickles, knife and scissor sharpening, lots more. Harvest Square Farmers’ Market – Tues, mid-July to Oct. 3-6pm. A full range of locally grown fruits and veggies, fresh baked goods, homemade food stuffs and more. Harvest Square at St Patrick’s Church, 492 Bramhall Ave, Jersey City.


Historic Downtown Farmers’ Market – Mon & Thurs, May 13 thru Dec. 4-8pm. Market has locally grown or pro- duced food items, many vendors with homemade products, extensive selections of organic products, even area food trucks to serve up all kinds of culinary creations. Hoboken Downtown Farmers’ Market – Tues, late June thru Oct. 3-7:30pm. In addition to providing local farmers another venue and residents with fresh picked fruits and vegetables, the market serves as a gathering place for peo- ple to exchange smiles, thoughts and recipes. Hoboken Family Farmers’ Market at The Garden Street Mews – Sat, early June thru Oct. 9am-2pm. Located on a private pedestrian street, this is as much street fair as market for locally grown and organic produce, honey, eggs, soaps, artisan cheese, organic dog treats, prepared foods, etc. Also music, arts, activities & games for kids and more. 1425 Garden St between 14th & 15th sts, Hoboken. 201-222-2580.


Hoboken Uptown Farmers’ Market – Thurs, June thru Oct. 3-7:30pm. Stop by on your way home from work and you will find everything from heirloom tomatoes to bread baked that morning and other epicurean delights. Journal Square Farmers’ Market – Wed & Fri, late June thru Thanksgiving. 11am-7:30pm. Jersey City’s largest, longest running market, also one of the longer seasons and longer days. Features recently harvested fruits/vegetables from Alstede Farms and Union Hill Farms, fresh cheese, artisan bread, pickles and olives from local venders. Newport Centre Mall – Tues, early June thru Oct. 12- 7pm. This afternoon and evening market is on level 1 of the mall, near Pay Half court. Riverview Farmers’ Market – Sun, May 5 thru Oct 27. 9am-2pm. One of the first farmers’ markets of the season, with unique goods made by local artisans as well as farm-fresh produce, meat, eggs and nuts. Some prepared foods like empanadas.
