7 1. It was another successful Arnprior Fish


and Game Club annual Kids’ Fishing derby. Lots of prizes were given out to the kids.


2. The Nation Valley ATV Club’s first annual ATV Ride For Dad, held March 2, was a huge success. The weather made for great riding conditions. Riders (256 of them) came from as far as Niagara Falls, Hamilton, Barrie and across the Ottawa Valley. The event raised almost $45,000 to support local prostate cancer research and awareness.


3. Bigger and better: The 2013 Ottawa International Motorcycle Show brought thousands of motorcycle enthusiasts out to the

Crystal at the Cheshire Cat Pub on Carp Road. Fire destroyed all but the stone walls. Dustin still walked away with a Kanata Chamber of Commerce People’s choice Award for Restaurant of the Year. They hope to have it rebuilt and open this fall.

Ernst and Young Centre. Great entertainment, such as Monkey Junk, fashion shows and tons of bikes, made this a must-go.


from Quebec. Jeff particularly enjoyed the magazine because he was once the guitarist for Roch Voisine and Luba. He said when he was really young he would travel to Ottawa to hear many of the early Ottawa bands featured in the Bounder (see the Rockin’ on the Rideau series, by Jim Hurcomb).


6. Hot food and KISS FM made the opening of Valecraft’s Aviation Private Sales Centre and Model Homes a great success.


7. Southbound provided some great Classic Rock at the Valentines day party in Merrickville to raise funds for the 4th annual Merrickville Motor- cycle Show and Shine coming in June.
