Dear Friends The Church is very much alive, well and active in your community! In fact, although we share a common faith, we have all kinds of different churches, and in them all you will kind welcome, friendship and support.
So whether you prefer the beauty and heritage of ancient church buildings or the simplicity of a school hall, singing along with guitars and drums or to the accompaniment of an organ, the dignity of traditional liturgies or the informality of the spontaneous, there is something for you! Between us we have groups and activities from toddlers through to the elderly, and everything in between – children’s clubs, youth groups, Boys’ Brigade, young adults fellowship, Messy Church, coffee mornings, discussion and bible-study groups... far too many to provide details for here. Your Churches also work closely together, and increasingly so along the whole Bovey Valley from Moretonhampstead through to Heathfield. This enables us to put on an annual summer Holiday Club for primary-aged
children, and employ a youth pastor, Robin, and youth outreach worker, Pippa. In addition, both as churches and as individual Christians, we try to be active within Bovey and Heathfield, living out
our faith in daily life by contributing to the wellbeing of our community.
So if you are new to our area or have been here for ages, you are warmly welcome to come along and discover more. It doesn’t matter whether or not you’ve had any contact with or experience of a church before, or whether you are searching for some meaning, have a firm faith or are simply curious. Just ask at any of the churches about what’s going on across them all, or look out for publicity or particular events and activities.
