Bovey Tracey Heritage Centre is housed in the old railway station off the A382. Also on site is a brake van of the type used on the Great Western Railway and the remains of an internationally significant pottery kiln dating from the 18th century. It is run entirely by volunteers. The Heritage Centre is open from 10am daily from Easter to October, (closed on Sundays). Check at the Tourist Information Centre to confirm opening times and to get directions. The Old Station is tucked away behind the housing in St John’s Lane but there is a free car park, admission is free and you will receive a warm welcome from the heritage trust volunteers.
