ST Catherine’s has been caring for and educating the children of Heathfield for more than 100 years. Our school motto is ‘Dream, Believe, Achieve’, a philosophy that underpins all that we do.
Since the summer of 2010 the school has worked in partnership with St Michael’s C of E Nursery and Primary School in Kingsteignton and the schools are federated under the name of the United Schools Federation, (USF). The partnership work has been very successful, increasing the opportunities for all involved and raising levels of achievement. Everyone involved with the school works tirelessly for the continued improvement of the school. St Catherine’s was inspected in November 2011 by Ofsted, being judged as ‘good’ with many ‘outstanding features’. In December 2011 the school was also inspected by SIAS (Statutory Inspection of Anglican Schools) and judged ‘good’, confirming the high quality of our Church School provision. St Catherine’s is a school that has improved rapidly in the last three years. The Department for Education has recently acknowledged this
improvement with the school being listed in the top 100
schools nationally, for sustained improvement in Key Stage 2 results at level 4 and above. Naturally, everyone involved with the school is delighted, and for the Heathfield community, this is further confirmation of the quality of all round education that the school is providing for their children.
