Easter holidays police appeal to youngsters
WITH Easter holidays not far away, Dyfed Powys Police are asking youngsters to be mindful of how their actions can affect others, particularly older people. The nights will also get shorter as
the clocks go forward, and more children will be making the most of the daylight to play outside. Inspector Eric Evans said: “The downside of this is that their
behaviour can impact on elderly and vulnerable people. All I ask is to think about your neighbours and how your behaviour will affect others. “Neighbourhood policing teams
will be out and about in communities across the county during the two week holiday period, and if they come
across any behaviour officers will take action.” anti-social

Concern at funding cuts to bus services
THE Welsh Government is
introducing reform for the bus sector in Wales. Funding for bus services across Wales will reduce by around 25 per cent from April, 2013. Currently, local authorities are only able to subsidise services where the private or commercial sector will not. County executive board member for transport Cllr Colin Evans said: “This is going to be challenging as funding is being cut to both the revenue budget and the Local Transport Services grant
that authorities
previously used to invest in routes and services.” The fuel duty rebate currently paid to operators is also being cut and reformed. The Council, with other authorities across the region, is reviewing all services and would welcome views on what services should be prioritised.
