InstallerNet

The Big Intros: Partnership with Roadwire, a leading provider of leather seating for the aftermarket. Though details are still being worked out, customers will more than likely purchase leather seating and installation online, then schedule an appointment. “InstallerNet’s back end will match the consumer to a store that has the leather in stock, and the customer can then schedule the installation and have a one-stop shopping experience.”

The Big Picture: The company is continuing to strengthen its dealer network and, like retailers, leverage relationships to ser- vice other product categories like home automation. Installer- Net is also focusing on building its service model for nationwide fleets. But don’t worry: the card in the box isn’t going anywhere.

Roadwire Partnering with InstallerNet in order to make buying and having leather installed an easier proposition for consumers. “We have strong dealership presence, but we don’t have a solu- tion to work with a big-box company,” said Dave Edmonson, vice president.

42 Mobile Electronics  February—March 2013

Te Mobile Electronics Retailers Association had one goal on mind at CES: dealer awareness. “Sup- port from manufacturers has been strong,” said Chris Cook, president, adding that more than 100 retailers signed up as MERA members on the show floor. “We wanted to come to the show to let dealers know how we, in turn, support them, both through strategic partnerships and KnowledgeFest.”
