Pre-existing medical conditions It is a pre-requisite of many travel insurance policies (including the Explore policy) that you inform the insurance company of any defined pre-existing medical conditions known to exist (both you or any person not necessarily travelling but upon whom travel depends, such as a relative) at the time of purchase and obtain written confirmation from them that you are fully covered for such conditions as failure to do so may result in a claim being declined or reduced. Definition of Long Haul Any country anywhere in the world outside of those countries listed as being covered under the short haul destinations.

Age Limits – the annual policy is available to persons aged 65 years or under at the time of purchasing the insurance.


Travel in the UK – is covered provided you have pre-booked accommodation of two consecutive nights. Medical cover is excluded.


Couples/children – 1. Either adult or children can travel independently.


2. Cover for single parents. 3. A ‘couple’ is defined as any 2 adults, whether married or not, who have been in a permanent partnership for at least 6 months.


Validity – All policies are valid for a full calendar year. Premiums are not refundable should your tour be cancelled by Explore for any reason. If you do not specify a commencement date, we will automatically issue the policy from the date of payment.


Travel duration – the maximum period for any one trip covered by the policy is 44 days. There is no limit to the number of trips in the year. This 44 day maximum period cannot be extended.


Eligibility – This insurance Policy is only available to persons who are permanent residents of Europe (other than Switzerland, Belarus, Montenegro and the Ukraine)

Operative Date The calendar year in which the payment for the Policy is received by Explore will define the premium, conditions and benefits. The details shown in this brochure are correct at time of going to print and may be subject to change.


Claims Details on how to make a claim can be found in the insurance Policy Document that will be sent to you with your booking confirmation. A 24 hour emergency medical number will also be provided.


Excesses Most claims are subject to the deduction of an excess, applicable to each section of cover and each person. The standard excess is £50.

These prices are based on three accommodation styles; you can choose from AUTHENTIC for simple, sometimes local-style accommodation, COMFORT for mid-range properties and INDULGE

Visas and Vaccinations You must make sure that you are in possession of a full passport, valid for at least six months aſter the date of your return to the UK. You must have all visas and vaccination certificates that are necessary to enter or pass through any countries involved in your holiday. Any visa requirements will be listed in your holiday confirmation, but please note this information is subject to change.
