Markets, Volcanoes and Wildlife
Day 1 Fly to Quito. Day 2 Scenic drive along the famous Panamerican Highway to Otavalo and watch the silent bartering in the markets. Visit the Indian village of Peguche and observe the artisans weaving in their houses. Day 3 Drive to Papallaca; en route enjoy lunch in the beautiful surroundings of La Compania rose plantation. Day 4 Return to Quito; optional ballet performance in the evening. Day 5 Take a guided tour of the historic city’s old quarter. Straddle the equator line and visit the monument. Day 6 Fly to the Galapagos and start your wildlife journey on Baltra Island. Day 7 Enjoy
a coastal walk along Puerto Egas spotting marine iguanas and sea lions. Continue to Bartolome, nesting site for green turtles and home to Galapagos penguins. Day 8 Walk to the top of Dragon Hill, Santa Cruz island, for stunning views. Day 9 Return to Balta airport and fly to the UK. Day 10 Arrive UK.
