Africa \ Namibia Inside information
Getting There We think the most convenient way to get to Namibia is with South African Airways, via Johannesburg. The flight time is 13 hours and 25 minutes.
Best Time to Visit Namibia is ideal for year-round travel. The northern hemisphere’s spring and summer offer good game-viewing. Thunderstorms are known to occur between November and March, but they clear quickly.
Combine it with... Namibia combines well with Botswana for the ultimate experience; Namibia’s scenic diversity and desert compliments the Okavango Delta’s luscious wetlands. Speak to one of our Africa Regional Specialists for more ideas.

Our Travel Secrets
Cheetahs: A Close Encounter It is rare to be able to interact with the graceful cheetah but at the AfriCat Foundation you can become involved with the project’s invaluable research. Get to know the rescued cats and learn the techniques of feeding them.
Sleep Under the Stars Stars speckle the dark night sky and the wilderness beckons; yet unless you sleep outside, these magical moments pass you by. Sleep under the stars and rise at dawn to see golden rays coating the Namib sands.
Skeleton Coast A safari plane is the only way to see some of the most fragile and isolated sections of the Skeleton Coast. Strewn with mammal skeletons, shipwrecks and sea colonies, the wild north west of Namibia is a very special place.
