Farm shop adds another dimension

STAPLEHURST Nurseries now offers a more comprehensive shopping experience following the opening of Frankie’s Farm Shop.

OPENING TIMES Mon to Sat 9am – 5pm Sun 10am – 4pm

Staplehurst Nurseries, Clapper Lane Staplehurst TN12 0JT 01580 890713

The farm shop, which opened its doors last month, offers the opportunity to enjoy a relaxing coffee or tea in friendly surroundings with a variety of delicious food made on site. The skilled chefs produce a wide range of tasty treats including fresh cooked ham, scrumptious sausage rolls, quiches and the coffee shop’s legendary scotch eggs. Customers can also choose from a variety of tasty salads, made from fresh ingredients, for lunch or to take away. Also tempting the customers are a range of delicious cakes, artisan home baked bread and fresh scones. Favourites on the menu include lemon drizzle cake, carrot cake and victoria sponge

– baked fresh every day. The ethos is on local produce, with milk sold that is produced and bottled on a dairy farm in High Halden, near Tenterden.

Frankie Franke, who owns the shop with her husband Marcel, said: “We are a friendly team, all working together to provide the best customer service experience. We are all passionate and excited about the food we produce, the majority of which is locally sourced.” All of the farm shop’s products come with their own personal recommendation and staff are more than happy to discuss ideas and recipes with customers. The food is cooked daily in an open kitchen, allowing customers to see their dishes being freshly prepared.
