RICHARD SIMMS Spinning Instructor

Use humour to get through it! I am a spinning instructor and for those struggling in the class, or even those who excel in it, a little bit of humour goes a long way to lighten the load of a one hour spin class. When you are smiling, your muscles don’t hurt as much or you just don’t notice as much...

Try to progress in your workouts every 1-3 workouts (e.g. a extra rep, heavier weight, faster speed, shorter rest intervals) I change my work- out plan every 3-4 weeks. Within a specific workout I may change a variable or two in order to keep my body guessing. Once I figure out what I want to accomplish in a given workout plan variable like sets, reps, exercises fall into place. Knowledge is power!
