Everything from the Harry Stebbing Workshop is made using English oak, sourced with exten- sive care from locally managed estates, where replanting and aftercare become second nature. This means that not only sustainably produced timber from site managed under an environmen- tal plan is used. As part of this revolutionary company’s commitment towards a sustainable environment, a scheme has been initiated through Woodland Heritage, whose patron is HRH the Prince of Wales - to plant an oak tree, for every product sold. Their modern designs, yet traditional construction, are equally at home with either contemporary structures, or historic buildings.
Harry Stebbing is a craftsman who still believes in traditional old fashioned values, supplying a company objective which ensures high specification and realistic pricing, therefore representing good value for money in a world of ever spiralling costs. By offering exceptional value for money within such a current climate of ambiguity, the team endeavour to be as ‘environmentally aware’ as possible.
All the English oak benches are made from 2”, 3” and 3½” English oak. As an added safety feature below ground fixings for either a concrete plinth or soft ground to securely anchor the bench are also available.
They have an extremely talented illustrator working with them, who does a lot of work for Natural England and BBC Wildlife magazine to name but two. She will capture your imagination with her delightful coloured illustrations, so together with the aid of a digital vinyl printer/cutter, it enables them to produce weatherproof interpretive panels, site plans and footpath maps. Glass Reinforced Plastic panels which are guaranteed against fading for ten years under normal light and weather conditions are also available. The workshop is also able to offer general signage, and banners for a special occasion such as advertising or fund raising events.
If you have a unique logo, it can be reproduced using state of the art digitally printed vinyl or Glass Reinforced Plastic that can be incorporated into a notice board or honours board. The
designs of such a diverse and extensive range of products are the result of countless years of experience working with wood, creating a product with numerous important features that enables an extended life; all of which have an eco-friendly natural oiled finish.
Harry Stebbing Workshop has a reputation which rests upon the highly skilled and experienced staff members’ attention to detail. This small family firm produce both traditionally crafted, bespoke furniture from English oak together with memorial benches, display cases, honours boards, oak signage, church and street furniture. In fact, all aspects of furniture and joinery work which includes a wood carving and gliding restoration service, plus digitally printed interpretive panels and general signage. Their carver is a member of the Master Carvers’ Association - with work in Windsor Castle and 10 Downing Street.
