WE need you to make sure GHA is doing the right things as a landlord. We’re setting up a scrutiny panel and want tenants to get involved.
The Scottish Housing
Regulator – which checks how landlords such as GHA are performing – needs evidence of how tenants assess our performance and services. The new Scottish Social Housing Charter sets out results landlords should achieve in areas such as the quality of homes, the standard of repairs and the way tenants get involved. GHA has to measure its performance against these results. The Regulator wants
GET INVOLVED: Our scrutiny panel will let tenants have their say – like these people at a tenant conference
to know how we involve tenants in this process – and that tenants agree with the information we send to the Regulator about our performance. Our new scrutiny panel will make sure tenants are fully involved in this. Maureen Dowden, GHA’s Assistant Director of
Community Engagement and Governance, said: “Becoming a member of the scrutiny panel is a good opportunity to influence what we do.”

Review Teams OUR customer review teams will work closely with the scrutiny panel to check how GHA performs. The scrutiny panel will identify services needing closer inspection – and our customer review teams will test customers’ experience of those services.
Tenants in our customer review teams will check how we deliver our services and report back from the customer’s point of view.
