n BAXTERS PASTA PARTY Saturday 29 September: 12.30 – 18.00 The Baxters Pasta Party takes place during pre-race registration at the Event Village at Bught Park. All runners, friends and family are invited to the Pasta Party to ‘carbo-load’ on a three course meal of Baxters Healthy soup and bread roll, then a choice of pasta ac- companied by salads, followed by dessert. Highland Spring water will be available. During the Pasta Party there will be live music. We advise you to buy tickets in advance to avoid disappointment. Tickets cost £10 each (Children’s ticket £5) and should be purchased in advance at
www.lochnessmarathon.com. A limited number of tickets will be on sale on the day. Massage is available during the Pasta Party in return for a donation to charity.
n THE EVENT VILLAGE Sunday 30 September: 9.00 -16.00 The Finish for all races is at the Event Village at Bught Park in the centre of Inverness. At the Event Village there’s lots to do for spectators and runners, including live music, pipes and drums, charity and sports retailer stands, kids activities and a Baxters Food & Drink Fayre.
n PARKING – IMPORTANT Event organisers advise runners and spectators coming to the Festival of Running to avoid parking in the Bught Park area due to limited parking and suggest: l Use public transport where possible l Car share where possible l Park in the centre of town and walk along the river and through the islands to the Bught Park - approx. 1 mile (see map on p2)
n ROAD CLOSURES Please see the map on p2 for further information. Bught Road which runs alongside the Bught Park/River is the only road closure which will affect Saturday’s Pre- event Registration and Pasta Party.
Sunday 30 September Marathon Runners Parking will be available for marathon participants only at the Bught Park early on Sunday. Access from Glenurquhart Road only. 5K Runners/Spectators Coming to Bught Park – as Sat 29 Sept. See map on P2 10K/10K Corporate Challenge Runners Parking will be available at Inverness Royal Academy although participants are encouraged to be dropped off /car share.
