Tausha Hellyer named 2012 OQHA Queen
From the Queen’s Desk,
On June 17, 2012 I was honored with the 2012 Ontario Quarter Horse Association Queen title. This has been an accom- plishment that I have dreamed about since I was a very young girl, watching our past Queen’s compete for this amazing honor. Thank you to everyone who was involved with making this event truly amazing! I am so excited to be chosen to represent our great association at many upcom- ing events this year. My first stop will be at The Regional 4 Championships held in Columbus, Ohio. I look for- ward to seeing many of our OQHA members competing in this great event and I will be cheering you on from the sidelines! This year, I will be uploading video blogs to my Facebook Page right from the show grounds to try and keep everyone updated on the great success of our Ontario members at the show! Fol- lowing the Regionals, I will be attending the OQHA Novice Show & Area 1 Show in Ilderton, Ontario, the EOQHA Summer Siz- zler in Carp, Ontario, the Area 3 Novice Show in Orangeville, Ontario, followed by the Ontario Breeders Futurity in Ilderton, Ontario.
I look forward to meeting more members at all of the upcom- ing shows and wish good luck to everyone in all of the upcoming competitions. This is going to be
an amazing year for everyone! Thank you again to all of my sponsors, and to everyone involved in this event. Thank you to the Queen Committee Janine Donelly- Domingos and Laurie Haughton, as well as our past Queen’s for all your help with my preparation for the Ontario competition and contin- ued support during this once in a lifetime journey. Also, thank you to my mom, Diana Hellyer, for all your support and guidance through- out the years that has brought me to this moment.
Yours truly, Tausha Hellyer OQHA Queen
