It’s time to start the party

With the Jubilee, and the festival season upon us the Island really starts to wake from its sleepy winter hibernation. This issue of Style of Wight sees us all geared up and ready to celebrate with our biggest ever Issue.

We celebrate the jubilee in true Style in our fashion pages with a beautifully styled shoot by our very own Becca Charlo, shot with the deftest of touches by photographer Abigail Steed and all made extra pretty with help from Jaks hair in Ryde and make up by Ruth of Harmony Beauty.

Our food and drink section celebrates the arrival of both the Asparagus and the fish seasons. (We are after all surrounded by water). There are some great recipes from top Island chefs, all celebrating local produce at its very best. Plus we hail the greatest of British traditions: afternoon tea.

We also help you through the summer with a preview of the Festival season, and the chance to win tickets to the Isle of Wight Festival. Plus a fabulous prize of tickets to the Steps and Tom Jones concert at Osborne House with backstage VIP access where you will meet the band – see pages 84 to 87.

So as a very famous green frog once said . . . “It’s time to play the music, it’s time to light the lights.”
