FASHION
It’s not just the weather
that’s bright this season by Becca Charlo Red and yellow and pink and green. Orange and purple and blue. I can sing a rainbow. Sing a rainbow, sing a rainbow too . . .
These seem the perfect lyrics to describe this season’s men’s trends.
Chinos come with us out of their autumnal seasonal colours to a fresh bright hue. They will be followed by this season’s shorts, which are indeed short! (que for another song!) But let’s get to the key points of wearing and styling these brights.
We’ve watched during the last couple of seasons how men’s fashion is developing at a rapid rate – and it doesn’t seem to
be slowing down anytime soon. Chinos have really become a staple item for any man’s wardrobe along with your basic crew T-shirts and your all-important classic plimsolls and trainers.
We recommend teaming your brights with a white T-shirt and canvas plimsolls (see Visual Impact’s canvas Oxford pumps by Lyle and Scott) then team with your classic Ray-Bans (available from Wight Sight).
These green shorts are another option. Eye-catching they may be, but they are not as difficult to wear as they look. Just keep the rest of your outfit toned down, opt for tan deck shoes, plain shirt, and away you go.
Those looking for a pair of bright chinos let us recommend a red or electric blue shade wear with espadrilles and a printed, short- sleeve shirt.
