Axcess Electric Bikes have developed and built an electric bike specifically to suit the Isle of Wight.
“We’ve identified that there are many shorter people who find full sized bikes, particularly electric bikes, are too big for them. So we’ve had designed, commissioned and built a bike specifically in response to that need,” says Tim Blackman of Axcess Electric Bikes.
The Exmoor 24 is a smaller version which is unique to Axcess Electric Bikes. “It is the first of its type in the UK and we believe is fulfilling a really important demand in the market.”
With the Isle of Wight in mind, the benefits you get with the Exmoor 24’s smaller frame allows you to put your feet on the ground no matter what sort of incline you’re on, which is ideal for pedalling around the Island.
“It’s like you’ve put a standard bike in a photocopier and pressed ‘reduce 15%’ – and out comes the slightly smaller version.”
This great little bike is perfect for anyone lacking confidence in the saddle: the Exmoor 24 has a 17’’ step through frame, 24’’ wheels and all the power you’d expect from an Axcess bike. What’s more, with its swept back handles and well positioned power pack, it offers a seriously comfortable and enjoyable ride.
