“FAIR”LY IMPORTANT MATTERS……………….……………………………………….. By Leah J Norris

F.Y.I. ON A F.Y.I. SPOTLIGHT Here is another installa-

tion of ‘FYI on an FYI’. This article will introduce you to not only an FYI, but also a brand new Director on the Florida Federation of Fairs Board.

Bill Olson was born in

Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, but he attended Ocala For- est High School here in Florida where he played on the varsity baseball team. After graduating from high school, Bill enrolled in the

University of North Florida. While at UNF he pledged Pi Kappa Phi and graduated with his Bachelor’s Degree in 2003. Currently, Bill is at the Greater Jacksonville Agricultur-

alFair. He is pursuing his Masters in Business Admin- istration at UNF and he is also enrolled in the Internation- al Association of Fairs and Expositions’ Institute of Fair Management. Bill has been married to his wife, Jacque, an Audiolo-

gist, since 2008. They are parents to a little girl, Allysa Katherine, aged 2. And in his free time he enjoys playing golf and boating. I’m sure I speak for everyone when I say we are so ex-

cited to have our first “Official” FYI member of the Board of Directors of the Florida Federation, and we can’t wait to see where Bill’s career will take him.
