The F ircrack a JULY 2012

President’s Message

I trust everyone had a wonderful time at the Convention in May! What a great time for all of us to

come together as the Florida Federation of Fairs and IAFE Zone II and get to know each other a little better and at the same time learn more about our remarkable Fair industry. I want to take a moment and thank everyone who helped make the convention a great suc- cess as well as our sponsors who made every aspect of the convention possible. I would like to thank Happy Norris and the Lake County Fair for his service and leadership to the Fairs of Florida this past year as our President. Also, I would like to thank Lisa Hinton for her service to the Federation. It is truly remarkable how Lisa keeps all of us in line. I am very excited to serve as President and

looking forward to visiting Fairs all around Flori- da and getting to know more of you. Through the summer, planning will be underway for the Summer Workshop and an out of state Fair tour. You should already have received infor- mation on these two events. I hope everyone is planning to join us in Manatee County on July 27th and 28th. I know that we will have a won- derful line-up of Fair filled topics for us to dis- cuss and learn from. Everyone have a great summer and we will see you in July!

Your President, Dan West
