GRANTS
Recently OTRA has learned of possible grant funding and plans to pursue various grant opportunities that might be available to our organization. As was discussed at the AGM in April we are welcoming input from members of OTRA. You can relay to the Board sugges- tions of grant projects that could possibly be put into action in the near future. Complete the Grant Project form below and fax to 519-923-2751 (phone first), or contact
ochrerider@live.ca to have a form emailed to you, or scan form below and email to ochrerid-
er@live.ca . Usually grants more likely to receive approval are those that provide education, community awareness, promote health, fitness, recreation, safety, personal growth and life skills, facilitate the growth, sustainability and development of the organization, heritage and natural preservation, appreciation of nature or environmental protection. Please include your name and contact information in the event we need more information to apply for your suggested project.

What (Project Name – eg. Bridge) Where (Specific area if applicable – eg. Tim-buck-2)
On May 5th and 6th OTRA held the first ride of the season in Dufferin County Forest. The ride was hosted by the OTRA directors and was held in memory of Marvin Halladay. Marvin and his wife Rita traditionally hosted the first ride of the season and held it at the Main Tract of Dufferin County Forest.
Those in attendance signed a card for Rita and her family and donations were collected to send to the Campbellford Memorial Hospital Foundation in Marvin’s name.
There was a great turnout with more than 20 riders heading out to enjoy the beautiful trails. The Saturday evening potluck and fire was enjoyed by everyone. Around the fire many people shared their memories of Marvin, it was a time of both laughter and tears as many of the stories were humor- ous, but also reminded us all of what a wonderful person we had lost.
