Adobe has launched its subscription- based Creative Cloud. Tied in with the unveiling of Adobe Creative Suite 6, Crea- tive Cloud members can download all CS6 applications, including new releases of Premiere Pro and After Effects (right). Users can also store and share content across desktop, mobile devices and the cloud. Individual membership costs £38.11 a month. “Members receive full access to the entire portfolio of Creative Suite 6 tools, integration with our touch tools, fi le storage and sharing services, and web hosting – everything they need to go from idea to fi nished work, at a breakthrough monthly subscription price,” said David Wadhwani, Adobe sen- ior vice-president, digital media business. “Creative Cloud will allow our product teams to unleash a constant stream of innovation, releasing new features, apps and services as they are developed.”

CODEX OPENS VAULT RECORDER
Codex announced at NAB that its Vault S location-based recorder and media manage- ment system is now shipping. Designed to operate as the hub of an on-set or near-set fi le-based workfl ow, the Codex Vault sup- ports digital cameras made by manufacturers including Arri, Sony and Canon. Codex Dig- ital managing director Marc Dando said the system provides “a simple, seamless work- fl ow that can be applied to all cameras and service all deliverable needs”.

CRYSTAL VISION UNVEILS FTX-L 3G
Crystal Vision has launched the FTX-L 3G – a fi bre-optic transmitter designed to transmit 3Gbps, HD or SD signals over large dis- tances. The FTX-L 3G is a dual-channel device and allows for up to 24 channels in a 2RU frame. It has two independent 3Gbps, HD or SD inputs, each with one optical out- put, and can transmit a serial digital sig- nal down a fi bre-optic cable. The FTX-L 3G meets the SMPTE 297-2006 short-haul specifi ca- tion standard, allowing
