CANON EOS C300 Large imaging cameras have

had a huge impact on the look of TV shows of late, so it’s no surprise that the C300 has had a fast uptake. With Canon fi xing the issues that affect stills cameras shooting video, such as audio inputs and time code, the C300 has become a star this year. And as most of our clients already have a large stock of CF cards, they don’t need to change stock.

SONY RADIO MICS (DWT- B01TX + DWR-S01D)

We saw the frequency switch- over as an opportunity to revi- talise our radio mic stock. This year, ITV1’s Dancing On Ice has made great use of four channels of digital audio.

LIBEC JIB

Small, lightweight jibs enable our clients to add production value to shoots but keep down hire costs. The Libec Jib packs down and fi ts into most camera vehicles. It was used heavily on Four In A Bed for Channel 4.

LITEPANEL MINIPLUS

The days of lugging around a brick-sized battery light are over, thanks to LED technology from the likes of Litepanels. As a cam- era top light or a stand-alone soft light, it’s rare that kit goes out without one.

CANON HJ40 LENS

HD lenses are in demand. Our clients want to hit a middle ground and don’t always want small and portable, as with the HJ22. The HJ40s are always out on hire and are already booked solidly for the rest of this year.
