world—a life that is not confined by ideas of who others think they are and who their fami- lies want them to be.

We will practice mindfulness meditation, dyad self-inquiry exercises to reveal inner calling, and give and receive authentic feedback in the larger group.

People will have the opportunity to find a deep- er connection to what is true for them and cre- ate next steps to express this truth. Through the various activities, we will allow people to more clearly see what life is calling forth in them and how that calling wants to be expressed in the world. Participants will come away with a deep- er connection of what is true for them, potential next steps to take, and ways the group can sup- port each other after the workshop.

I Am the Word: The Energetics of Consciousness

Paul Selig

In his breakthrough work of channeled litera- ture, I Am the Word, author and medium Paul Selig recorded a program for personal and plane- tary evolution as humankind awakens to its own divine nature. Through a series of lectures, attunements, and energy activations, workshop participants will be introduced to the frequency of the Word, which can be described as the ener- gy of “God in action.”

You will be shown exercises for healing the self and others, along with practical techniques for developing and sustaining higher levels of con- sciousness. You will also receive individual instruction that will support you in moving through the physical and emotional blocks that may be keeping you from manifesting your own higher nature. You can discover how realizing your own true potential is inexorably linked to the wellbeing of others and our planet.

Paul’s workshops can be deeply transformative. The energy he works with is palpable and lov-

Celebrate Seventy! How Women Flourish in the Eighth Decade

Jane Giddan & Ellen Cole

“What does it look like and feel like to be women in our seventies today?” ask the leaders. “What are our challenges? Are we still working for a paycheck? If not, how do we identify our- selves, particularly if we had meaningful careers? And above all, what brings us satisfac- tion and joy? How are we thriving and flourish- ing as we enter and proceed through our eighth decade?

“We have been blogging (www.70candles.com) and conducting conversation groups for seven- ty-ish year-old women and have learned, above all, that the benefits are tremendous when we meet together to share our stories and celebrate our lives. After all, we are the generation that in

our thirties invented consciousness-raising groups; we are indisputably the generation that began to change the landscape for professional women. We pre-baby boomers have much say to one another and to the multitude of women closely behind us who are about to turn seventy.

“In this weekend workshop, participants will explore what’s been written and said about our generation and will have the opportunity to look back at our lives, share our challenges and joys in the present, and imagine our futures. Longtime Singing Gestalt teacher and former Esalen programs director Nancy Lunney- Wheeler will help us celebrate with music and Janet Carnay, LMFT and Board certified Art Therapist, will expand our explorations through the visual, tactile, and creative arts. We will con- clude with a seventy candles birthday party.
