samples, beer and wine, ven- dors and live music. Individuals can enjoy the “Kick-off to the Cook-Off” with live music by the Shane Dwight Band on Friday, May 11. Festivities will proceed the following day, May 12, from 10am – 6pm, with tasting samples and much more. For more information on the No Bull BBQ, visit www.mhnobullbbq.com. Building off the success of last summer,

the fun continues with the weekly Friday Night Music Series from June 15 to August 31. Celebrating twenty years, the Morgan Hill Chamber of Commerce has some new plans to make this weekly series special for everyone. The series is held at the Morgan Hill

Community & Cultural Center Amphitheater in downtown Morgan Hill. Tables and chairs are provided, so come early to reserve your spot. Background music will start at 6pm with live music from 7pm – 9pm. The weekly series is a free event for the community. Beer, wine, sodas and water will be available for pur- chase from local vendors. This year’s series has a great line-up of

top notch entertainment. Opening night is June 15 and features the Jesse Charles Band and their style of old school R&B.

SHANE DWIGHT

In July, help us kick off the Independence Day weekend with Morgan Hill’s own Shane Dwight Band, Friday, July 6. Also enhancing the series this year is the American Graffiti Night featuring the Hot Rods Band and Hot Rod Cars in August. Come down and help end the series with Extra Large and their funky soul on August 31. A full schedule of this year’s top notch entertainment is available at the Chamber’s website at www.morgan- hill.org.

What better way to end the summer

than with the Taste of Morgan Hill Festival, September 29 and 30 in Downtown Morgan Hill. Shop at the many arts and crafts and merchandise booths, visit local businesses promoting their services, feast on a variety of great tasting foods, and enjoy local wines and beer while listening to the sounds of the live bands playing. Don’t forget to visit the Custom & Classic Car Show between Dunne and 5th Street on Monterey and the South Valley Quilt Show at the Community Center.
