Product innovation is often led by market demand as you just described to have been the case for the development of your diversified printer products. What other market demands have you encountered? At the ICE Show in London this year, FutureLogic launched a new product, Ticket2Go, a ticket-out solution for AWP machines. With increasing stakes and prizes, pub, club and arcade owners and operators have experienced the problem of hopper starvation. When the hopper is almost empty, the machine turns off until the operator sends a team around to replenish the hoppers, increasing machine downtime and service calls. The beauty of Ticket2Go is that it does not require a network to connect the machines to a server. By using 2D barcode technology, the ticket is as securely encrypted as your bank card. The player plays the machine and receives a ticket when pressing the “cash-out” button. He then redeems the ticket at the bar. This solution ensures much higher machine uptime, lower operating costs and it can be integrated with the operator’s back-end accounting system.


Is the UK pub market the only target for Ticket2Go? We are also looking at other countries which may benefit from Ticket2Go and have actually seen interest from regions and applications that we didn’t even have on our radar.


Ticket2Go sounds like a very interesting systems product. Why has FutureLogic moved from supplying printers to developing software solutions? The FutureLogic Mission Statement is to “Anticipate, Create & Deliver Innovative Solutions and World Class Experiences that Excite, Satisfy and Inspire”. To fulfil this Mission Statement, we need to do more than just develop and produce hardware. Our systems products are designed to add more value to our printers which remain the core of our business. We are creating value-added solutions for our customers that make their gaming offer more attractive to their players.


How do you make sure that you stay ahead of the pack?


One of FutureLogic’s greatest qualities is our passion for innovation. We recruit and invest in people in whom we see this characteristic. FutureLogic has been developing PromoNet for a few years and the product has now been launched into the market. Does PromoNet also fit your statement?


It does indeed. PromoNet is an intelligent couponing system that issues player rewards directly into the players’ hand and therefore makes the solution a very strong marketing tool for casinos. PromoNet is currently the only promotional couponing system that uses real-time game metrics to reward players for their actual play behaviour, issuing coupons in real-time, linked to slot metrics.
