When did the company get founded; what were your aims and ambitions? … and have they all been met? The company was founded in 2004 when Alexander Fernandes was looking for a surveillance solution for a previous company. When he wasn’t able to get a high-definition solution that met his needs he saw a business opportunity. Avigilon was founded with the aim to provide the best image quality and most reliable products in the industry for our customers. We have provided the best evidence through image quality and reliability and we will continue to provide our customers with the most innovative HD video surveillance systems

How did the company come by its name? Avigilon, pronounced a-vigil-on, means to be perpetually alert and watchful. Alexander Fernandes thought it was a fitting name for a high-definition surveillance company.


To how many countries do you supply? We currently supply our systems to more than 80 countries and counting.
