After entering Lake Country take a right on Beaver Lake Road and be at Beaver Lake Mountain Resort in about 20 minutes to enjoy the mountain air, or to rent a canoe or kayak in the quiet surroundings. After returning to Lake Country’s Winfield area take a right on Main Street pausing at the Visitor’s Centre #9522 Main. Spend the afternoon at Swalwell Park taking in the Friday afternoon Farmers Market. Stop by the municipal office to pick up tickets to the next great live show at Creekside Theatre. Enjoy dining out at one of the many unique restaurants that call Lake Country home.

The four kilometres between the town centre and Wood Lake beach is flat. At each end are interesting amenities. Near downtown and an easy peddle from Wood Lake, you’ll find a walk-on driving range and a par 3 at Aspen Grove Golf Course and restaurant. Cross the street to where Okanagan beauty inspired art fills the space at Lake Country’s public Art Gallery. The space is shared with Lake Country Coffee House serving up organic fare. Before you head east you may find yourself picking up fresh made subs at Woodsdale store and renting bicycles for the day at the local bike shop next door.

Continue east and veering north on Oyama Lake Road. Following this scenic bench dotted with orchards and ranches stop at the Barn Gallery for a taste of Okanagan art. If that left you hungry for treats of the tasty type you are minutes away from the melon patch, Oyama Sunblush and Sproule & Sons Farm where you will find nothing but tasty! You will eventually swing upwards towards Oyama Lake Fishing Resort. Book online if you wish to experience Oyama Ziplines while in the area, or stop by the Oyama Lake Alpaca farm for a friendly furry visit. After an afternoon of mountain activity, return to the Oyama area of Lake Country for dinner, drinks and bocce at Gatzke’s Farm Market and check to see if their Big Blue Stage has live entertainment that evening.
